FAQ

A quick guide to how community points and profile features work without giving away the parts that would make the system easy to exploit.

1. What are points?

Points are a community progression system. They help power things like the public leaderboard, profile ranks, and points-based draws.

2. How do people earn points?

Points are earned through genuine stream participation. Being around, engaging naturally, and taking part in the community all help. Active participation is generally worth more than passive presence.

3. Are subscribers treated differently?

Yes. Subscribers currently receive a 2x points multiplier compared with the standard base rate, which gives subs a little extra progression for supporting the channel.

4. Does every second in chat count?

No. The system is designed to reward real community presence rather than raw idle time, and it includes safeguards so simply sitting silently forever is not the best strategy.

5. Why is my rank different from someone with similar points?

Ranks are based on the wider community distribution, not just a single fixed number forever. That means rank placement can shift as more people join, climb, or overtake each other.

6. What is the public leaderboard?

The public leaderboard is a live ranking of the top community members by points. It is there to showcase active viewers and add a fun competitive element to the community.

7. What is the points draw?

The points draw is a giveaway system that can select from ranked community members. Eligibility and draw settings can change depending on the event or giveaway being run.

8. Can I opt out?

Yes. If you do not want to be included in points draws, you can opt out from your dashboard while still keeping your normal tracked profile and leaderboard presence.

9. Do I need a Twitch login?

You do not need to log in just to appear as a tracked viewer, but logging in gives you access to your dashboard, profile controls, and sharing tools.

10. Will the points system stay the same forever?

Probably not. The system can be adjusted over time to keep things fair, fun, and resistant to abuse as the community grows.

11. Can someone be disqualified from giveaways or promotions?

Yes. We want giveaways to stay fair, fun, and community-focused, so we reserve the right to remove or disqualify anyone who is clearly trying to abuse the system or undermine an event.

This can include things like:

  • Using bots, scripts, macros, or third-party services to try to generate entries or activity.
  • Using multiple Twitch accounts to get around limits or improve your chances.
  • Not meeting the eligibility requirements when a draw actually happens.
  • Breaking community rules, Twitch Community Guidelines, or Twitch Terms of Service before or during an event.
  • Being banned from the Twitch channel or Discord, even if someone later tries to return on another account.
  • Entering for someone else, or trying to pass a prize to a person who would not be eligible themselves.

If something looks dishonest, disruptive, or clearly against the spirit of the event, we may step in. Disqualification decisions are final, and serious abuse may also lead to removal from future promotions.

12. General giveaway terms

Unless we clearly say otherwise for a specific event, community giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or officially associated with Twitch, Discord, or any other third-party platform.

We reserve the right to make final decisions on event rules, eligibility, and outcomes. We may also cancel, pause, or adjust a giveaway if fraud, abuse, technical issues, or anything else affects the fairness or proper operation of the event.

By taking part, participants agree that SuperSahama and the moderation team are not responsible for losses, damages, or issues that may result from accepting, using, or being unable to use a prize.

13. Who is responsible for customs or import fees?

For physical prizes, winners are also responsible for any import duties, customs charges, local taxes, or similar fees that may apply in their country or region.

14. How is address information handled for physical prizes?

If a physical item needs to be shipped, any address or delivery details provided for that shipment will be handled in line with applicable UK and European data protection requirements and used only for fulfilling the prize.

Shipping information will not be kept longer than necessary and will be deleted once the package has been dispatched, unless we are legally required to retain something for a longer period.
